Does the term digital native now belong to the past

The term digital native was first ‘coined’ way back in 2001 by Marc Prensky who pronounced that there was a new generation of technology users ‘The Digital Native’ who according to Prensky where proficient in the use of digital technologies especially the Internet.  This digital generation are now in colleges or universities, what are the new generation of young technology users to be called and what has become of the phrase ‘Digital Immigrant’ has the passing of the last decade facilitated a re-think of the terminology? Are they now natives users of technology?
